About us:
The
Addison Braves were founded in 1976 and have been a mainstay of the
northwest suburban area ever since. During the summer months, the
Addison Braves provide current college, as well as older team veterans,
a place to play baseball for the purpose of enhancing skills or just
for the sheer enjoyment of playing the game.
Since the Addison
Braves play in a highly competitive environment, college players gain
greater experience enhancing college performance and for the older
members, a chance to compete at a worthwhile level.
However,
unlike many softball teams that play one game a week, the Addison
Braves have approximately 80 scheduled game dates, 60 of which are
played in Addison. The majority of games are against teams from the
Chicago Suburban Baseball League and the Wisconsin State League, both
of which the Addison Braves are a member.
